Biography

Dr. Douglas Black is Head of the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital. He is a member of the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology and is based at the General Campus of The Ottawa Hospital. He also sees patients at the Sound Care Medical Centre, Caremedics and Meadowlands. Dr. Black is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa and regularly mentors students at the undergraduate level. He is also the Director of the Sound Care Medical Centre and former Medical Coordinator of the Ottawa-Baffin Project. Dr. Black received his medical degree from Dundee University in Scotland and completed his Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
