Definition of Special Student (Undergraduate)

Special students are persons allowed by the University to register for undergraduate courses, for credit or as auditors, without seeking a degree, diploma or a certificate from the University.

Detailed Registration Procedures 

  • Complete the Undergraduate registration form (special students) available online
  • Register at the appropriate location, depending on the special student category you are applying for:
    • Personal interest:
      • December 12 and 13 - Register in person at InfoService, University of Ottawa, Tabaret Hall, 75 Laurier Avenue East.
    • Professional certification, transfer of credits, upgrading, gifted students or students from Carleton University - Register in person at the Faculty of Medicine, department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, 451 Smyth road, room 3206.
  • Bring all necessary documents (transcripts, letters, etc.).
  • Obtain approval to register in the course from the faculties concerned.
  • Pay the required fees (consult your uoZone account).

ANP1106   HUMAN ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY II

Anatomy of the skeleton, including the axial and appendicular skeleton. Anatomy and physiology of skeletal muscles of the trunk and limbs. Anatomy and physiology of the nervous system including receptors, the sensory and motor pathways, the lower and higher functions of the central nervous system.

Prerequisite: OAC or 4U Biology. (Previously ANP1102)
ANP1506   ANATOMIE HUM. & PHYSIOLOGIE I

Anatomie du système squelettique, y compris le squelette axial et appendiculaire. Anatomie et physiologie des muscles squelettiques du tronc et des membres. Anatomie et physiologie du système nerveux y compris les récepteurs, les voies sensorielles et motrices, le fonctionnement du système nerveux central.

Préalable : Biologie CPO ou 4U (Antérieurement ANP1502)
PHA3112   CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY

This course is a comprehensive study of drugs with instruction on their action on the human organism as well as their toxicities and their method of administration. Particular emphasis will be placed on the observations incumbent on nurses and problems of drug administration.

Prerequisite: ANP1105, ANP1106, ANP1107
PHA3512   PHARMACOLOGIE

Ce cours est une étude compréhensive de la pharmacothérapie y compris l'action des médicaments sur l'organisme humain, leur toxicité et les méthodes d'administration. On met un accent particulier sur les observations infirmières et les problèmes associés à l'administration des médicaments.

Préalables : ANP1505, ANP1506, ANP1507.

PHS4300   PATHOPHYSIOLOGY

Etiology of disease states, causes and mechanisms of pathology, preventive measures and corrective therapies.

Prerequisite : ANP1105, ANP1106 and ANP1107.
PHS4700   PATHOPHYSIOLOGIE

Étiologie des maladies, causes et mécanismes des pathologies, mesures préventives et thérapies correctives.

Préalables : ANP1505, ANP1506 et ANP1507.
