HONOURS PROGRAM

Undergraduate Students interested in a 4th year program are encouraged to contact individual scientists directly. The objective of the Honours program is to prepare Students for further studies in the biomedical sciences. The emphasis is on intensive training at both the experimental and theoretical levels. This is achieved by a mixture of laboratory research, course work and seminars. Students successfully completing the program will graduate from the Faculty of Medicine with a B.Sc. Hons. in either Human and Mammalian Physiology (although it is planned that this will soon be redesignated as B.Sc. Hons. in Cellular and Molecular Medicine (CMM)) or Biochemistry (BMI) depending on the Supervisor’s primary affiliation. For students intending to go onto a career in research, medicine and related health sciences or education, this program will provide valuable training.
