GRADUATE AND POST-GRADUATE EDUCATION

Currently, the Centre has a total of 50 Graduate Students and 35 Postdoctoral Fellows. Moreover, additional Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows are being recruited to work on various research projects within the Centre. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact potential supervisors directly.

The creation of the Centre has clearly enhanced the profile of the current research programs and, accordingly, it facilitated the recruitment of additional Students and Fellows. Their contribution to the activities within the Centre are critical since the Trainees are in an ideal position to stimulate further collaborative efforts and interactions among the different laboratories. Accordingly, the Students and Fellows benefit from the expertise of a number of Principal Investigators and they have the opportunity of being exposed to a variety of research projects that use different conceptual frameworks as well as distinct methodological approaches. The M.Sc. and Ph.D. Students are integrated in either the Neuroscience or the Cellular and Molecular Medicine Graduate Programs in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine (CMM)of the University or, in some cases, in the Molecular Genetics Program in the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology (BMI).
